Spain coach Vicente del Bosque announced Friday the list of players named for October’s 2016 UEFA European Championship qualifying matches. The list includes Barça players Pique, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta and Pedro.
The Spain national team will play on Thursday October 9 at Zilina, Slovakia. Three days later on October 12 Del Bosque’s team will play at Luxembourg.
In other news, Sergi Roberto has been named to Spain’s U21 team along with Munir and Sandro. They will play against Serbia on October 10 and 14 in the play-off phase of the U21 European Championship.
15 called to international action
In total 15 players from FC Barcelona have been named to their respective national sides. Luis Enrique will soon be without the following players: Neymar, Mascherano, Messi, Luis Suarez, Rafinha, Mathieu, Ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo, Rakitic, Piqué, Iniesta, Pedro, Jordi Alba, Sergio, Sergi Roberto, Munir and Sandro.
