FC Barcelona v SD Eibar: la Liga returns

Luis Enrique has confirmed a place in the starting eleven for Pedro Claudio Bravo is looking for yet another clean sheet while Messi is just two goals away from a new record

League action returns this evening after the international break when newly promoted Eibar comes to the Camp Nou.  Barça has been improving steadily since the start of the season but now they face a crucial week with matches against Ajax on Tuesday in the CL and the first La Liga clasico against Real Madrid on Saturday in the Bernabeu.

Manager Luis Enrique Martinez has a full squad to choose from apart from Douglas (injury) and Luis Suarez (ban).  There’s no place in the match squad tonight for Masip, Montoya, Vermaelen, Sergio and Rakitic but the manager has confirmed that Pedro will definitely start the game.

Records ready to fall

It could be a record breaking night in the Camp Nou as Claudio Bravo looks to extend his run of seven clean sheets so far in the league.  Meanwhile, Messi is just two goals away from equalling the Spanish record of 251 league goals (held by Telmo Zarra).

Tonight’s opponents have made a good start in the top flight and occupy a comfortable mid table position with nine points.  Manager Gaizka Garitano will be without forward Arruabarrena (injury).
