After the Spanish players featured in Thursday night’s games, it’s now the turn of a few more of the Barça players to star on the international stage.

Messi and Neymar go head to head in China

Today’s biggest match up has to be in Beijing, where Neymar and Messi will face each other as Brazil take on Argentina in a friendly this afternoon. The game has caused  a big stir in China with expectations high, as ex- Barça boss Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino leads  Messi and Mascherano into what is always a stellar game against traditional rivals Brazil, who are starting their own rebuilding after the shock of their world cup exit.

Suarez in Uruguay friendly

Luis Suarez will get the chance to play in Uruguay’s friendly against Saudi Arabia this evening, as he continues his preparations for a return following his FIFA ban.  With just 15 days before he’s available for competitive games again, Suarez will be hoping the game will give him much needed match time.

Rakitic and Halilovic in Euro 2016 qualifying action

Rakitic and Halilovic are both in the Croatia squad to face Bulgaria in their Euro 2016 qualifying game. Croatia will be favourites to go through from Group H alongside Italy and a win would keep up the Croatian’s 100% qualifying record so far.

Sergi Roberto, Munir, Sandro and Ter Stegan with the Under 21s

The Spanish Under 21s are also in action today, taking on Serbia in a European qualifying game, the result of which could also determine whether Spain go through to the Rio Olympics. Albert Celades has called up Barça midfielder Sergio Roberto and strikers Munir and Sandro for the game. Marc-André Ter Stegen is also in action in the competition, with the German Under 21s for their game against Ukraine.
