Jordi Alba in this season's first clash with Athletic Club / MIGUEL RUIZ-FCB

Barça defender Jordi Alba appeared this morning at a press conference at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to talk about his recent play and the team's current streak of eight straight victories.

This is what he had to say:

About Athletic Club, this weekend's league rival:

"They're a young team that likes to play football. On offense they're very dangerous in the air. We have to watch out."

"Despite their injuries they'll be tough. Remember that the last few matches have been evenly matched."

"We'll take the same approach as always: keep the ball, play our game, dominate the wings. They are very strong when they play up and when crossing the ball. They're dangerous."

It feels like 2012:

"I'm having a very good time; the same feeling I had in 2012. Last season injuries set in and I missed time. This season I'm fine and I've had the opportunity to play lots of minutes. Physically I'm at a high level."

The team playing well in general:

"After the match against Real Sociedad, we found our game. Despite this, we don't think we're superior to any team . Any team can win these days. You have to be very careful with every opponent."

Pedro and going back to the defensive wing:

"His natural position is up front, but the back was not my natural position either and look now. I was lucky that Emery put me on the wing and it gave me the confidence to play that position."

Iniesta:

"I started playing with him in the national team and he always taught me a lot. It makes playing easier and plus, he's a good person. It's a joy to have him on the team. I hope I can play with him for many years to come."

The goalkeepers:

"We have three top keepers. We're very pleased with all three. They play better with their feet than some players."
