Víctor Valdés didn’t even stop for Christmas. The FC Barcelona keeper posted a video on Facebook showing how he and fitness coach Juanjo Brau were at the Ciutat Esportiva on the afternoon of December 25 to continue his recovery from injury, saying that "it was a fantastic training session today on the 25th. I’m ready now. Thanks to Juanjo for always being there for me! Ahhh!… Happy Christmas everyone!".

Last week, Valdés spoke to the media in the Ciutat Esportiva pressroom, where he said he hoped to be back for the first game of 2014 against Elche, which is on January 5 at the Camp Nou. That would finally put an end to his battle for recovery from a calf strain sustained while away in South Africa with the Spanish national team.
