The 2013/14 season kicks off this Monday, July 15th, as 15 first team players return to training. Tito Vilanova and his technical staff will start work with Afellay, Puyol, Cuenca, Pinto, Oier Olazabal, Montoya, Marc Bartra, Mascherano, Adriano, Song, S. Roberto, Dos Santos, Messi, Tello and Alexis.
Players who featured for their country this summer will join the team at a later date.
Two sessions a day
Starting this Tuesday, Vilanova will train his men twice a day, at 9.00 and 19.00. The first week back to work will come to an end on Saturday, July 20, when the Blaugrana take on their first preseason opponents, Lechia Gdansk, in Poland.
Four days later, FC Barcelona will take on the current Champions League holders, Bayern Munich. The third match of the preseason will see the Blaugrana travel to Oslo on the 27th, to play against Valerenga. The Blaugrana will them embark on their Asia Tour 2013 at the beginning of August.
