Vicente del Bosque's team will land in Washington, DC to play a friendly against El Salvador

Vicente del Bosque’s 23-man World Cup team travelled to the USA this Monday. With only 10 days to go for the start of the tournament, Spain will conduct a training camp in Washington, DC, where they will play their final friendly – against El Salvador – in preparation for their title defence in Brazil.

After the USA tour, Spain, with seven Barça players – Piqué, Jordi Alba, Sergio, Iniesta, Xavi, Cesc and Pedro –, will travel to Brazil. The team will stay in the city of Curitiba during the group stage of the competition.

Before the trip across the Atlantic, Del Bosque’s team trained at the Ciudad Deportiva Las Rozas, and they attended an event at La Moncloa. Government representatives, members of the Real Federación Española de Fútbol and sponsors hosted the team ahead the World Cup challenge.

Final days to know definitive teams

This Monday is the final day national managers have to reveal their definitive teams for the World Cup. The Spanish national team, Cameroon (Song), Chile (Alexis) and Brazil (Dani Alves and Neymar) have already confirmed their respective rosters. Argentina are due to reveal their team today. It’s expected that Alejandro Sabella will name Leo Messi and Javier Mascherano to Argentina’s national team.
