Sergio Busquets: “We can't win every game without suffering"

The Catalan midfielder reckons the fans might just be too used to the team winning everything "We will keep fighting for all the titles until the end of the season"

Sergio Busquets appeared on the Barça TV programme ‘El Marcador’ after the win over City on Wednesday and explained: “except for the first few minutes of the second half, I think we played really well. We were a compact and serious team, we controlled the first half, keeping our nerve and holding onto possession for long periods and after the break we got the goals. I think we put in a good game”.

The Catalan midfielder didn’t want to be drawn on any possible opponents in the quarter finals, but made it clear: “we are an experienced team and we know how to deal with big game, but you have to be on top form and even then you can’t guarantee you will win every game”.

“We’ll keep fighting to win all the titles”

Looking at the demanding few months ahead of the team, Busquets admitted: “we’d all love to win every game 5-0 and not have to suffer, but that’s just impossible. Maybe people are just too used to us winning everything. We are four points of the league leaders and I don’t think that means it’s the end of an era. We will keep fighting for all the titles until the end of the season, though losing at the Bernabeu would be a definitive blow to our hopes, it’s true, but right now we have to focus on the Osasuna game”.
