On Friday morning, Barça held their second to last training session before travelling to face Real Madrid on Friday. The venue was Sant Joan Despí and started earlier than normal so that the players could watch the draw for the Champions League quarter finals, which paired FCB with fellow Liga outfit Atlético Madrid. The session started with the players congratulating Jordi Alba on his 25th birthday.

As on other days this week, Carles Puyol did specific exercises and Jonathan dos Santos and Isaac Cuenca did recovery work.

The first team were joined today by Barça B’s Bagnack and the Youth A team’s Palencia, Quintillà, Juan Antonio, Fran, Huertas, Corredera, Moha, Pedro and Ebwelle.

The final session before the clásico will be on Saturday morning at 11.00, and will be followed by a press conference by Gerardo Martino.
