7.25 – The squad has left the team hotel for the Bernabeu.

7.00 – The players are receiving the final team talk before they leave the hotel for the Santiago Bernabeu.

6.55 - Atletico Madrid - who Barça meet in the last eight of the Champions League of course - have beaten Betis 0-2 in Seville to move level with Real Madrid on 70 points ahead of tonight's Clasico. Gabi and Diego Costa were on target for Simeone's side.

6.20 - The players have come down from their rooms in the team hotel for a light snack and a final team talk.

5.40 -Dani Alves looks set to start at the Bernabeu and a Barça win would mean the Brazilian becomes the player with the most ever wins against Madrid – so far he’s come out on top in 12 of the 22 games he’s played against Real with Seville and Barça. Dani’s lost on seven occasions – five with Seville and two with Barça.

5.20 - Second place Atletico Madrid have kicked off in Seville against Betis - after 20 minutes the game is still goalless

2.25 – The Official FC Barcelona delegation has arrived  at the Hotel Ritz for the traditional lunch for the clubs’ directors. This will be Josep Maria Bartomeu’s first time as President of the Club at this type of celebration.

2.10 – The squad and the coaching staff are having lunch at the team hotel.

12.37 - UK paper The Independent reckons tonight's game is: "expected to produce one of the most thrilling Clasico matches for many years" and focusses on five key battles that could decide the game.

12.10  - Madrid is also hosting the New Espai Barça exhibition, which is being shown at the Hotel Melia Castilla for local penyas and members. The exhibition is being presented by Club vice-president Jordi Cardoner and the director of the Social Commission Pau Vilanova.

11.40  – The team has arrived in Madrid and are now on their way to the team hotel  - the Hotel Eurostars. You can check out the first game between the two teams on this video.


10.47  - The charter plane AEA-867 with the team on board has taken off. Tat Martino has taken 21 players, including Piqué, who is back from injury, with the injured Puyol, Dos Santos and Cuenca, as well as Oier left behind.

 


 

9.49  - The 21-man squad and the coaching staff leave the El Prat airport, where they will catch a 10.30 flight to Madrid.


 

9.15 - The official Club delegation is meeting at Terminal 1 of Barcelona airport for their flight to Madrid. Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu heads the party, accompanied by 4 vice-presidents, 5 board members and director general Antoni Rossich.
