Girona v Barça and Sabadell v Espanyol are the two semifinals of the Catalonia Cup, to be played on May 13th at the Montilivi Stadium. Representatives of the four clubs met on Monday with the President of the Catalan Football Federation, Andreu Subies, to finalise the competition schedule. The final will be played on May 21st, also in Girona
During the meeting, in which Pere Gratacós represented FC Barcelona, it was agreed that teams could make six changes, and that 18 players will be inlcuded in the squad lists.
Remembrance to Tito Vilanova
Barça are the current tournament Champions. Last season, the team managed by Tito Vilanova defeated Espanyol in the penalty shoot-out, following the 1-1 draw in normal time.
On the other hand, the Catalan Football Federation has stated that they would like to take advantage of the final phase of the Cup to pay homage to Vilanova on behalf of the whole of Catalonian football.
