Barça have temporarily shelved their CL ambitions to focus on Saturday’s big game in the Camp Nou against Real Madrid.  Thursday’s training session was focussed entirely on the upcoming ‘clásico’.    Gerard Piqué followed a specific training routine after finishing the match in Milan with a muscle strain.  He should be able to rejoin the main group for training on Friday.

Today’s session included 21 players.  Fans will remember that Jonathan dos Santos picked up a ligament injury on Wednesday and is waiting on test results to find out how long he’ll be sidelined.  He joins Jordi Alba and Afellay on the injury list.

The next training session will be behind closed doors on Friday at 7 pm in the Camp Nou.  After training, the players will remain together at a local hotel until kick-off on Saturday evening.
