The five national teams that feature FC Barcelona players continue to prepare for the world Cup. The Spanish national team, with seven Blaugrana, are in Washington, DC, where they will feature against El Salvador next Saturday. This Wednesday Gerard Piqué talked to the press. The center back says that Spain have a shot at retaining their title. “In a World Cup anything can happen. We are candidates to win, but we aren’t the only team favoured to win,” said Piqué.

Neymar and Dani Alves’ Brazil defeated Panama on Tuesday thanks to goals from the two players. The team managed by Luis Felipe Scolari are training at the installations of Granja Comary.

Argentina – with Messi and Mascherano – and Chile – with Alexis – will play their final World Cup warm-up games this Wednesday. Argentina will take on Trinidad and Tobago in La Plata, while Chile will play against Northern Ireland in Valparaiso. Lastly, Song’s Cameroon will take on Moldova on Saturday.
