Bartra, Piqué and Puyol to travel to Valencia

Tata Martino will be taking everyone in the squad apart from Valdés, who he has been advised to leave behind

Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino has decided, as is usually the case for big games like these, to take his full squad to Valencia for the cup final against Real Madrid. That makes for 24 players, the only absentee being Víctor Valdés, who has only just undergone surgery and therefore it wouldn’t be advisable for him to embark on a journey like this.

Bartra trains with squad

Defender Marc Bartra, who missed the Granada game with a right hamstring injury, was able to train with the rest of his colleagues on pitch number 1 at the Ciutat Esportiva. This was the last session in Barcelona before the team flies to Valencia this evening. Puyol worked out in isolation this morning, and Piqué also did specific exercises.

The plane to Valencia leaves at 6.00 PM CET this evening, and on Wednesday morning, Tata Martino and his players will be training for one last time at the Valencia training ground. The session will be held behind closed doors.
