Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Carlo Ancelotti talked to the press ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash with FC Barcelona. They both admitted that it will be “a very complicated match” against “one of the best teams in the world.” Ibrahimovic went on to say that “Barça are probably the best team at the moment and the best of all time. It will be difficult because they will have ball possession, but I think both teams’ chances of going through are equal.” Echoing the words of his star striker, Ancelotti explained, “it’s fantastic to be able to play this match. I want my players to be pleased and content. We have to be eager and determined from the start, we know that we won’t see much of the ball.”

Messi is the best

“Messi is the best player in the world right now. The Ballon d’Or should be carry his name, he’s going to win many more of them. He continues to be the best because he continues to break records. Is he the best player in the history of the sport? It’s difficult to say when a player’s career isn’t over,” said the Swede, who went on to talk about his current form. “I’ve evolved, now I’m the type of player that I wanted to be a couple of years ago. I’m 31 years old and I started playing in the Champions League 10 years ago. I enjoy football a lot more now than I used to,” said Ibrahimovic.

Ancelotti declared that stopping Messi will be a complicated task, but that Barça will have the same problem with Ibrahimovic. “It’s difficult to stop Messi, but it will also be difficult for them to stop Ibra. Even so, we will have to be focused,” said the Italian manager.

“We’re excited to play”

For many PSG players this will be their first appearance in the quarter finals of the Champions League. “We’re very excited, we’re in the quarter finals and it’s going to be a great match. It’s difficult to play against players that know each other so well and we can’t compare this tie to last season’s against AC Milan,” said Ibrahimovic.

Lastly, Ancelotti said that PSG “are a competitive team. We’re doing great work and the team will be competitive against Barcelona.”
