Zaragoza v FC Barcelona: Time to clinch the league title

7 pm, GolT – The league leader is aiming to take another step closer to the title against an anxious Zaragoza

Following on from the Champions League success, it’s now time to set about clinching the league title.  With a 13-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid, Tito Vilanova’s team will be looking to get a little bit closer to Barça’s fourth league title in five seasons against Zaragoza in La Romareda.  However, it’ll be no easy task with Pinto, Sergio and Messi in the treatment room, andIniesta and Jordi Alba rested by decision of the coaches.

Valdés back in league action

After a gruelling match against PSG, both mentally and physically, it’ll be a very different team that runs out onto the La Romareda pitch on Sunday.  It could be the chance for Bartra, Tello and Sergi Roberto, one of two Barça B players included in the squad along with goalkeeper Oier, to step up into the limelight.  Adriano is also in contention while Valdés returns in goal after missing the last four league matches due to his sending off in the Bernabéu.

Zaragoza thirteen matches without a win

Sunday’s opponent, Zaragoza, has seven former Barça players in the squad and desperately needs to pull out of a downward spiral that has left the team just one point above the relegation zone.  Their league form couldn’t be much worse – they haven’t won since 10th November (5-3 against Deportivo) making it 13 games without a victory.  For Zaragoza, Sunday’s match could be one of the most important of the season.
