Tito Vilanova's Barça hit 100 goals

The goals at La Rosaleda on Thursday meant Barça have now hit 100 goals in all official games so far since Tito Vilanova took over the team Messi, with 40, is the team’s leading scorer and fittingly enough got the team’s 100th of the season

The Cup quarter final saw Barça reach a century of goals since Tito Vilanova took over last summer, as the team beat Malaga 2-4 to ensure a place in the semi-finals. Goal number 100 just had to be scored by Leo Messi – a great header which gave Kameni no chance – and it was also his 40th under Tito Vilanova, which represents a massive proportion of that goal scoring success for the team.

Quick fire Century

It’s also worth noting that during the four years that Pep Guardiola was in charge of the team, the quickest that they reached the figure was in the 2011/12 season, when on January 9th 2012 – in the 31st game of the campaign- Cesc scored against Espanyol at Cornellà. This season’s century has come up in 34 games – the second quickest in the Club’s history.
