Sergio Busquets spoke to the media on Friday evening ahead of Saturday’s game in Valladolid and he insisted:” the important thing now is that we are all united – we want to continue in the same way we have been over the last few years. We will all help Jordi Roura, who is absolutely capable of doing the job, and make sure we do well in the game”.

Busquets was positive about the situation the team find themselves in and assured reporters that the players were simply focussed on racking up another victory: “there are three important points at stake and a win would be important for the all group – especially for Tito. I am sure he will be watching and a win is bound to help him in his recovery”.

Confidence in Roura

“We have the strength which Tito passed onto us after he spoke with us and we want to win this one for him - let’s hope we can take the three points”. Jordi Roura will be in charge of the team in Valladolid and Busquets believes: “he’s been here for many years and he knows the Club. He knows what has to be done. He’ll be in charge while Tito is away and I am sure he will do a good job”.

Roura will be giving the pre-match talk at Valladolid, but Busquets was adamant: “although it is a little more difficult, you have to be hungry to play whatever the situation. We don’t want it to seem strange, we want it to be as normal as possible”.

Praise for Valladolid

Busquets admitted: “ Valladolid know how to play really good football and they are showing that this season. We know we are in for a tough game” and also made it clear that the team don’t think the league is already won, despite their big led at the top: “Neither Atletico Madrid nor Real Madrid will be throwing in the towel and I’m sure they are waiting for us to slip up. We’re not thinking about titles, we ‘re concentrating on taking three more points and that’s all”.
