Vice President Jordi Cardoner and Amador Bernabéu, Gerard Piqué's grandfather, enrolled the center back's son as a Barça member this afternoon

Milan Piqué Mebarak became a Barça member the day after he was born. His great grandfather, Piqué’s grandfather, Amador Bernabéu, formalized Milan’s Barça membership this Wednesday at noon. Bernabéu was accompanied by Club vice president Jordi Cardoner.

Bernabéu, who made Gerard Piqué a Barça member when he was born, promised his grandson that he’d make Milan a Barça member as soon as he was born. “The day Gerard received his 25 year Barça member insignia I promised him that I would make his son a member. I thought it was a continuation of what I did with him, which means Gerard’s son needs to be a Culé from the first moment,” Bernabéu told Barça TV and www.fcbarcelona.com.

Culé tradition

Jordi Cardoner congratulated the family and welcomed Barça member 171,751 to the Barça family: “He’s another Barcelonista.” The vice president went on to talk about how passing down the love for Barça to children is “a family tradition.”
