Milan ease past Genoa (0-2)

Goals from Pazzini and Balotelli gave Milan three points as they eased past Genoa to stay in third place in the Italian League After scoring on 21 minutes, Pazzini came off injured

Milan chalked up another league win on Friday night, beating a solid Genoa side 0-2. Massimiliano Allegri’s team proved much more efficient upfront than Genoa, who created chances, but were unable to put any away, despite a number of confident penalty claims in the box.

Pazzini scored from the edge of the box to open the scoring for Milan before a few minutes later he hobbled off injured. Balotelli replaced him and on the hour mark the ex- Manchester City man took advantage of a poor clearance by the Genoa defence to double Milan’s lead, which the visitors protected well in the final half hour to ensure the points and stay in third spot. Bojan Krkic was on the subs bench for Milan, but did not come on.
