Happy birthday, Carles Puyol!

Carles Puyol, FC Barcelona’s first team captain, turned 35 years old today. Puyol made his debut for the Blaugrana on October 2nd of 1999 under the orders of Dutchman Louis van Gaal. The Catalan had to wait until the 2005/06 to lift his first title – the league – but since then he’s become one of the most decorated players in FC Barcelona history. His list of accomplishments include three Champions League titles, five La Liga titles, two Club World Cup titles and two Copas del Rey, not to mention a World Cup and two European Championships with Spain.
