Good news from Monday training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, the last in Barcelona before the flight to Scotland on Tuesday for Wednesday’s game with Celtic. Gerard Piqué was finally able to complete a normal training session with the rest of the team and has been declared fit for action in the crunch European tie.

He has therefore been included in the squad that flies to Glasgow on Tuesday for the fourth match of the Champions League group stage. He is joined by two other players that were not involved in the Celta game at the weekend, Sergi Roberto and Oier of Barça B. But there is no place for Adriano, who was injured in that match, or the suspended Sergio Busquets.

Thiago on field for first time

Meanwhile, Thiago, who is recovering from torn ligaments in his right knee, trained today for the first time since picking up the injury, but in isolation from the rest of the team. Thiago was joined by another player who is on the road to recovery, Carles Puyol, The session also featured three B team players: Tello, Oier and Sergi Roberto.

The team will be meeting at the Camp Nou on Tuesday at 9.30 for a coach transfer to the airport, where they are due on a flight at 10.30. At 19.00 CET they will be training at Celtic Park, shortly after a press conference featuring Tito Vilanova and one of the playing members of the squad.
