This could be a grand day. FC Barcelona have the first chance to definitively clinch the Liga 2012/13 title. But it doesn’t only depend on what they do themselves. Not only would they have to win at San Mamés (18.00, GolT, Canal + Liga), but they would also need Real Madrid to lose the derby away to Atlético (20.00).But if they win the title, it will be the 22nd in club history.

Missing Busquets

Tito Vilanova is travelling to Bilbao with 20 players. These include Adriano (who was suspended against Bayern), but not Busquets (who is left out as a precautionary measure due to groin trouble). With this game coming in between the two legs of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern, there are sure to be certain rotations with respect to the eleven that featured in the midweek defeat in Munich (4-0).

Farewell to San Mamés

This will be the 100th time that FC Barcelona have visited San Mamés, and also the last. Next season, Athletic Bilbao will be moving to the new San Mamés. Bielsa’s side is coming in to this match without the injured Laporte and Íñigo López, and with Iturraspe suspended (after being sent off in the last match). The Basque outfit are still only eight points clear of the relegation zone, and are desperately in need of points to avoid having to face a nerve-racking end to their season.
