Adriano, sidelined for four to six weeks

The Brazilian was subbed out of the match against Rayo Vallecano due to an injury to his hamstring. Tests confirm that the player will be out of action for four to six weeks

Adriano Correia, who was named to Barça’s starting line-up this Sunday, was subbed off for Dani Alves after he picked up a muscle injury in the match against Rayo Vallecano. Tests confirm that the player has torn his right hamstring and will be sidelined for four to six weeks.

Not called up for Brazil

Adriano is one of the few FC Barcelona players that was not called up to a national team ahead of this week’s international break. Therefore, the full back will be able to start his recovery process as soon as possible.

Despite being the team’s fifth highest goalscorer, his season has been plagued by injuries. In Barça’s first match of the season against Granada he picked up an injury to his psoas, and weeks later, against Celta, he was sidelined for three weeks with a tear to his right adductor. The Brazilian missed the return leg of the Copa del Rey against Córdoba due to issues with his right ankle, and he missed the matches against Sevilla and Milan due to injury.
