135 seasons at the Club between them!

For the first time in many years on Sunday, Barça played a league game with all eleven players coming from La Masia for a large part of the match. Between them, Valdés, Montoya, Piqué, Puyol, Alba, Busquets, Xavi, Cesc, Iniesta, Messi and Pedro, who were together on the pitch between the 13th and 65th minutes have played 135 seasons at the Club.
Below we detail the Club career of the players:

- Xavi has been at the Club the longest, having joined in 1991 and been a part of the first team squad since 1988.

- Club captain Carles Puyol and Pedro are the two players who spent fewest seasons in the reserve and youth teams – just three with the Juvenil A, Barça C and Barça B sides.

- Montoya is the player who has figured in most of the Club’s teams, having started with the Benjamis and gone through 10 age group sides before he reached the Barça B squad.
- Piqué and Alba are the two players who joined the Club at the youngest age, having started in a social tournament organised by the Club ( the predecessor of the FCB Escola) and made their debuts with the Alevís.

- Valdés, Piqué, Alba and Cesc all came back to the Club after playing for other teams – in Valdes’ case he signed in 1992 and then had to return to Tenerife immediately because of family motives.

- Five of them played in the now disappeared Barça C: Valdés, Puyol, Busquets, Pedro and Messi.
