Xavi Hernández was one of the players that trained on the Camp Nou’s pitch this afternoon in what was the team’s last training session before of the AC Milan match. The midfielder trained normally with the rest of his teammates after not participating in yesterday’s session. Guardiola, in the pre-match press conference, said that the vice captain “has had problems for a couple of days with his calf muscle.”

Guardiola’s 20-man squad left the team hotel, Hotel Majestic, for a couple of hours to train under an intense downpour at the stadium. It’s worth noting that the manager has 17 first-team players plus Tello, Muniesa and Montoya, from Barça B to take on Milan tonight. Afellay and Abidal also trained with the squad.

Return to the hotel

After the training session, the team returned to the hotel via motor coach, where they will stay until 18:45. At this time they will return to the Camp Nou. Kickoff against AC Milan in the decisive return leg of the Champions League quarterfinal - with passage to the semifinal in play - is at 20:45.
