This Thursday the draw for the initial stages of the World Club Cup will be made. Barça, who enter the competition in the semifinals, will know how the competition is configured and, therefore, who could be their possible opponents in the semi's. It could be two of these three teams: Esperance (Tunisia), Monterrey (Mexico), and Al Saad (Qatar). Two of these teams will play in the Barça half of the draw, and the third will play on the other side of the draw, with the Brazilian club, Santos.

Barça will play their first match in the World Club Championship on December 15th. Before that, they have seven important matches to play in the League and Champions League.

At the San Siro, for the leadership of the group

Following the break for the international matches, Barça will resume activity with a home game against Zaragoza on Saturday at the Camp Nou (20.00). Then, they will travel to Milan to play for the top spot of the group in the Champions League, at the San Siro (Wednesday 23rd). The team will have played two consecutive away games, as the next League match will be away to Getafe (match-day 14). The World Club Championships has meant that the match between Barça and Rayo has been brought forward to Wednesday 29th at 21.00.

Clásico at the Bernabeu

The three matches prior to the tournament in Japan could be decisive for Guardiola's team, for the leadership of the League and the Champions League. First they take on Levante at the Camp Nou on Saturday, 3rd of December. Three days later they complete the group stage of the Champions League, at home against BATE. The last of the seven matches prior to the World Club Cup is nothing less than the Clásico in Madrid, at the Santiago Bernabeu.
