Barça have arrived in Madrid, where the Catalan team will play the first leg in the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey. The team’s plane touched down in the capital a few minutes past noon.

The 19 players named to the Barça squad gathered with the coaching staff this morning, at 09.45, at the Ciutat Esportiva and left for the airport half an hour later. Tito Vilanova accompanied the team and will be on the Barça bench along with Josep Guardiola at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The team travelled with the sporting director, Andoni Zubizarreta, the institutional vice-president, Carles Vilarrubí, and the directors Jordi Mestres, Javier Bordas and Jordi Moix. President Rosell and the first Vice-President Josep Maria Bartomeu, and the directors Susana Monje, Joan Bladé, Manel Arroyo and Dídac Lee will join the Barça team in Madrid.

The team will stay at the Eurostars hotel, where they will remain until game time this evening.
