They didn’t score any of the six goals the Under-21 Spain side put past Estonia, but the six Barça players were the driving force behind Luis Milla’s squad in Melilla. Montoya, Muniesa, Bartra, Planas, Thiago, and Cuenca all featured in the starting lineup in Spain’s Euro Cup qualifier match against Estonia. Cuenca, earned his first international cap in what's proved to be a fairytale month for the Barça player.

Directing the game and ensuring a solid defence fell to the Barça players as Rodrigo, with a hat-trick, Isco, Álvaro Vázquez, and Sarabia were the goal scorers. Barça B’s wide defender, Montoya, had a brilliant part to play leading up to Spain’s second goal with a perfect cross that found Rodrigo.

Thiago, orchestra director

Thiago dictated Spain’s play and was a threat to the Estonian goal, with a shot that ricocheted off the Estonian keeper’s post. The young Spain player had an all-around fantastic game directing the Spanish offence.

With this win, Spain consolidates its position at the top of group 5, with six out of six possible points. Next Monday they will face the second place team, the Swiss national side, in the Arcángel stadium in Córdoba.
