After the match against Hospitalet the exodus of national players to their respective national squads left the orphaned Ciutat Espotiva practically void of first-team footballers. Only three first team players remained in Barcelona to practice under manager Pep Guardiola. The high note of the day was delivered by Pedro Rodríguez, the player was able to walk on Sant Joan Despí’s pitch with his personal trainer, a positive sign of the player’s ongoing recuperation process.

The Canary Island native sustained a peroneal strain in his left ankle on the 25th of October in Granada.

Recuperation work for remaining three first-team players

After a walk around the pitch, Pedro retired to the gym to continue his recuperation process. Pinto, Maxwell, and Fontàs, starters in last night’s Cup match, also completed their training session in the gym.

With no League games this weekend because of international qualifiers and friendlies, Guardiola decided to give his remaining men the weekend off. The team will resume training next Monday.
