El Barça guanya la quarta Copa d’Europa a Wembley (2011)

Éric Abidal: The first proper name on the list, ahead of the Brazilian, Neymar. His first official goal for FC Barcelona, the announcement and subsequent surgery on his liver, his return against Real Madrid and the iconic image of him lifting the Champions League trophy at Wembley were factors in the player’s online popularity.

Thiago Alcántara: The midfielder’s ascent through the Azulgrana ranks this year did not go unnoticed. The player’s first team contract, his excellent form at the Under-21 Euro and his brilliant performances with FC Barcelona made him an instant online favourite.
