Maradona’s Barça was in a complicated position when matchday 13 came around, they were four points adrift of League leaders, Real Madrid. Barça stormed the Bernabéu, however, and won the clásico in convincing fashion. Migueli and Alexanco were perfect on defence and Maradona was a constant threat at the other end of the field. The first goal was scored by Esteban, assisted by Maradona, and the second and definitive goal was scored by Quini with a lobbed shot that came practically from the halfway line. In the end, neither Barça or Madrid won the League, Athletic Club de Bilbao won the title.
