Justice was served as a serious Barça was able to control Madrid’s attempts at goal while taking advantage of their own. The first goal was scored by Rexach on a beautifully taken free kick and the second, scored in the dying moments of the match, was the icing on the cake for the Azulgranas. Heredia was the goalscorer after a counterattack led by Johan Cruyff. Unfortunately, Barça’s victory came too late as Madrid was just points away from winning the title. In fact, Madrid took the title on the next matchday.
