FC Barcelona U19A suffered a painful injury-time defeat against neighbours Girona on Saturday (0-1), though they remain top of the division.

Barça were unlucky not to claim the win as they were denied on more than one occasion by the crossbar, in what turned out to be just their second loss of the campaign.

The hosts started brightly, with plenty of intensity between the lines and Jordi Mboula looking the most threatening down the left-hand side.

Monchu came close to scoring on two occasions but was denied by the woodwork: the first was from inside the six-yard-box while the second came after some good build-up play from Mboula.

The second half continued in similar fashion, with Barça dominating but unable to breakdown the Girona backline.

And right at the death, it was the visitors who sneaked a 93rd minute winner against the run of play to condemn Barça to just their second defeat of the league season.
