Sergio Juste captained the side against their Chinese guests / FCB-VICTOR SALGADO.

Barça B played a friendly on Wednesday at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper against FC Beijing Guoan, the Chinese side coached by Spaniard Gregorio Manzano that is currently touring the country. The game offered a fine opportunity for some of the less regular players and others returning from injury to get a run-out.

Taking the initiative

Juste played his first full match since injury, and worked well down the right with Adama. But another player with fitness issues, Lucas, was still struggling with his ankle and had to be replaced by Campins, who put in a fine showing as Barça B controlled the possession from the start, but were faced by a well-organised defence that based most of its tactics on the counter-attack.

Changes and chances

Eusebio made several substitutions at half-time, sending on Munir, who has not had much of a chance to blend with his B team colleagues due to being on first team duty so often, plus J. Cámara and youth player Rodrigo Tarín. Later on, he sent out Agostinho Cá and another youth player, Moha. The second 45 minutes were a livelier affair, with Barça B keeper José Suárez having plenty to do, although the clearest chances were all for FCB, particularly those for Munir and Agostinho Cá towards the end of the match.
