Barça B, less than comfortable on a pitch that was not in the best condition, fell 2-0 at Leganés for their fourth consecutive league defeat. Leganés, who had several more close chances stopped by Ortolà, scored either side of halftime with strikes from Velasco and Eraso.

Although Barça dominated early on, they couldn't get any chances on goal, while Leganés slowly built up steam and were poised to go ahead but for the excellent positioning of the Barça keeper.

With both sides starting to get whistled for hard fouls, Leganés broke through in the 32nd minute when Ortolà made a save on a corner kick, but the rebound fell right to Velasco, who made it 1-0.

Just four minutes after the break, Leganés got their second score when a Fran Moreno shot off the post rebounded straight to Eraso, who knocked it in.

For Barça B, they struggled to make that final pass on attack throughout the match, and only in the 85th minute did they finally threaten.

They'll have a chance at redemption next Sunday when they play Recreativo de Huelva at 5.00pm (CET).
