FC Barcelona B edged 1–0 at home by Osasuna

Osasuna walked out of the Catalan capital with three points after a game that either side could have won

[[DES_1]]Barça B couldn't get a winning streak going, falling at home to Osasuna 1–0 on a first-half goal by Nino. It was a disappointing result for the fans, who came out to the Miniestadi in their biggest numbers of the year—some 6,000 on Sunday. Barça deserved more based on the game's merits, but they were unable to capitalise on the chances they had, squandering an opportunity to climb out of the depths of the Second Division.

Head coach Eusebio Sacristán used the same starting lineup in a row for the first time this season in an attempt to keep up the momentum his side gained in last week's triumph over Recreativo. The early going was a stalemate, with the exception of Dongou's 23rd minute shot that was turned away by Osasuna keeper Santamaría after a gorgeous feed from Gumbau.

Nino's knock

Osasuna, on the other hand, did not let their chances go to waste. The veteran Nino put them ahead on their first chance in the 26th. Barça wasn't capable of reacting and even looked like they might be ready fold, as Osasuna continued to knock at the door of Barça B keeper Ortolà. Just before the half, Barça showed signs of life, but Sandro couldn't finish after a nice combination with Dongou.

Samper and Adama came in after the break to add some intensity to the Barça attack and gave Osasuna fits as they had trouble clearing their own zone.

One man up

In the 70th minute, a dangerous challenge by De las Cuevas on Munir led to the Osasuna player's second yellow card. As Barça began to face the last 20 minutes a man up, the crowd roared as if to will Barça into drawing even. Dongou missed a close range chance in the 78th as Barça sensed time was running out. Osasuna killed as much time as they could with successive substitutions, leaving Barça to suffer the agony of defeat.
