Barça fell to Betis by a score of 1-0 in a highly competitive match that featured all sorts of scoring opportunities for both sides but in which the Andalucians took better shots.

Right from the kick-off the game was hard fought and back and forth. Betis hit the post right off the bat and Barça had their first clear chance at the three-minute mark. In spite of the furious pace and several clear opportunities, neither side could score before the half.

After the break, Betis took over and had three solid shots on goal in less than two minutes. The third one found the net courtesy of Ruben Castro. Barça keeper Ortolà could do nothing.

Barça didn't give up and tried dearly to turn the game around. They came to the edge of the area several times but could not generate any real danger.
