Tonight Barça B play their last game of the season against Jerez (7 pm). The Andalus club has already been relegated to Segunda División B but has a number of players with experience in the top flight.
Barça has the chance to reach 60 points and improve last season’s tally by one point. Although there’s little at stake for either team, the Barça squad will be looking to progress from last season’s performance.
Patric out at the last moment
Apart from finishing the season on a high note, it will also be the last game for Gus Ledes, Balliu, Lobato and Luis Alberto. Patric Gabarrón has not made the trip south due to a high temperature.
A difficult season for Jerez
Jerez have had a difficult season with problems both on and off the pitch. They prop up the league table with just 27 points and were relegated to Segunda División B a month ago after a painful home defeat against Cordoba (1-3).
However, Jerez have some quality players with plenty of experience. Manager Carlos Ríos has included Alfonso, Forján and Franco Amoroso in the squad but former Barça player Rueda, plus Jose Mari, Ogbeche and Bruno Herrero are all out injured. Bodipo is away on international duty.
