Barça B, a team made up of youngsters from the Masía, bases its football style in possession and treating the ball well. The proof lies in the fact that the team is the cleanest (in terms of accumulated cards) in the Segunda A division. After 18 League matches the boys led by Eusebio Sacristán have only been booked 41 times, none of them red cards. Similar statistics to last season. With Luis Enrique on the bench the team won the Fair Play award; over the course of the season they received 91 yellow cards and only 5 reds.

This season, only Nàstic has seen fewer yellow cards than Barça B, but the Tarragona outfit did receive one red card. If we focus on the back line, between Montoya (1), Lobato (1), Bartra (1), Muniesa (1), Gómez (2), Armando (2) and Balliu (0) the defence only received 8 of the 41 yellow cards shown to Barça B.

These are similar statistics to the first team. Guardiola’s team have accumulated the second least amount of cards in the League, 30 yellow cards and no reds after 16 games played. Furthermore, Puyol and Abidal haven’t been booked.

Barça B lies in fourteenth place in the Segunda A division with 23 points. The team’s record so far is six victories, five draws and seven defeats. They have scored 28 goals and conceded 26.
