Messi's 5 best goals in the Champions League

The Argentinian scored three goals at GSP Stadium and is now the all-time Champions League record holder with 74 goals, after having passed Raúl.
Leo Messi surpassed Raúl as the all-time Champions League scoring leader after his three-goal performance on Tuesday at GSP Stadium versus Apoel. Of these record 74 career goals we've chosen the five best. The fifth started a historic comeback versus AC Milan in the round of 16 in 2012/13. The fourth best was against Arsenal in the 2010/11 quarterfinals. The third step on the podium is for the goal he scored against Manchester United in the 2009 final in Rome. Messi scored on a header after a pass from Xavi to clinch the game and deliver the Club's third ever Champions League title.

The second was also in a final, the one Barça played in Wembley, also against Manchester United. Messi's goal gave Barça a 2-1 lead, with a helpless Edwin Van der Saar unable to do anything to stop it.  And Messi's best goal ever came against Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals in 2010/11 at the Bernabeu. Messi took the ball at midfield and went around and through six defenders en route to beating goalkeeper Iker Casillas with a low crossing shot. It gave Barça a 2-0 lead it would not relinquish on its way to the final at Wembley.
