The roller hockey side falls at the semi-final stage of the Spanish Super Cup

FC Barcelona were knocked out at the semi-final stage of the Spanish Super Cup by hosts Reus Deportiu in a hard-fought and close match on Saturday night (3-2).

The match started fairly equally, with both sides having some chances to take the lead but were ultimately denied by the keepers. Barça took the lead on 17 minutes after some great play by Pau Bargalló down the right hand side, assisted by Matías Pascual.

Three minutes later however, it was all square after a direct free-kick was dispatched by Raul Marín.

In the second half, the hosts took the lead on 32 minutes with Marín scoring again from a set play. Pablo Álvarez levelled things up for Barça, also via a direct free-kick, just before coming close to putting the visitors ahead only to be denied by Henriques.

The game was settled by Marín who, on 45 minutes, grabbed his hat-trick to give the hosts a 3-2 win, and knock Barça out of the Super Cup.
