Liceo 3-7 Barça: More than just a win in Riazor

Edu Castro's team take an important victory that sends them to the top of the table on goal difference

Vital away win in Riazor for Barça as they defeated Liceo 7-3 in Galicia. The win sees Edu Castro's team take top spot in the table on goal difference ahead of their rivals with Aitro Egurrola outstanding in goal.

A great start from the visitors saw Helder Nunes score twice in two minutes before Adroher pulled one back for Liceo. Egurrola, playing in the same venue where he made his debut 22 years ago, showed time has not dulled his reflexes with a series of excellent saves and Pablo Álvarez's goal made it 1-3 at the break.

In the second half Matias Pascual extended the lead and Bargalló scored twice with Liceo responding each time but it was never quite enough for the home side. Pascual's second rounded off the win for the blaugranes that sends them back to top spot.
