Barça v Deportivo Liceo suspended

The Blaugrana and the refereeing staff were present at the Palau Blaugrana, without the presence of the Galician team

The Barça - Deportivo Liceo fixture that was to be played this Sunday, December 22 (12:00pm CET) at the Palau Blaugrana has been suspended by the officials. The Galician team couldn't appear at the Palau Blaugrana as they were unable to fly to Barcelona due to weather conditions.

As announced in a statement issued on Saturday, Barça appeared for the match this Sunday to comply with Article 5 of the World Skating Regulations. The players entered the court at 12.00pm CET, with the designated officials (Dani Picó and Jonathan Sánchez) present at the Palau.

After 15 minutes of waiting and undertaking the regulatory protocols, the officials suspended the match due to the no show by the opposing team. The roller hockey federation (RFEP) will now decide whether the game is to go ahead at another date or if Barça will be awarded the victory.

FC Barcelona are sorry for the inconvenience caused to its fans.
