Boateng in squad to face Sevilla

Ernesto Valverde includes Ghanaian among the 18 players to play in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Cup (Wednesday, 9.30pm CET)

Ernesto Valverde's team visit Sevilla on Wednesday in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey (9.30pm CET). The coach originally called up 19 players, as he was hanging on definitive clearance for new signing Kevin-Prince Boateng to play. With the Ghanaian's availability confirmed, it is Denis Suárez who misses out on a place against the team where he played on loan in the 2014/15 season.

The definitive squad is: Ter Stegen, N. Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Coutinho, Arthur, Suárez, Cillessen, Malcolm, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Kevin-Prince Boateng, S. Roberto, Aleñá, Vidal, Vermaelen, Riqui Puig and O. Busquets.

Sergio, Messi and Samper are left out by decision of the managern, Murillo is suspended and O. Dembélé, Rafinha and Umtiti are injured.

Last session before the match

This Tuesday the team trained for the last time before the game against Sevilla. The session took place on the Tito Vilanova pitch and, in addition to Kevin-Prince Boateng for the first time, Iñaki Peña, Chumi, Miranda, O. Busquets, Riqui Puig and Mujica of Barça B made up the numbers.
