From the month of December, FC Barcelona members and fans have had the opportunity to pick the club's greatest goal of all time. You can do so through the official club website and app, deciding between a total of 60 goals scored by 40 different players.
On the list were works of art from Lionel Messi, magical goals from Ronaldinho, Romario's jaw-dropping strikes and efforts from Kluivert, Stoichkov, Eto'o and Luis Suárez, to name but a few. There are important goals such as those scored by Koeman at Wembley, José Mari Bakero in Kaiserslautern, Iniesta at Stamford Bridge and Sergi Roberto against PSG. All these and more competed to be chosen as the best ever FC Barcelona goal.
32 knockout ties
How is the winner be decided? In a knockout format. Every day a direct duel has been contested between two of the 64 goals. The goal that receives the most votes during 24 hours progressed to the next round. The knockout ties took place each day, besides those in which the first team played.
The first round of these duels will saw 32 matchups, showcasing each goal entered into the competition.
Prize in the final four
In the Final Four, in which only four goals remain and takes place between 20 March and 27 March, all fans participating in the BEST GOAL EVER competition will be in with a chance of winning VIP tickets for the Copa del Rey final against Valencia in Seville.
