Barça to debut third kit for Inter Milan match

The team will wear the pink uniform for the first time this season in Tuesday's Champions League clash

FC Barcelona will be wearing the new third kit for the first time this season when they square off at Inter Milan on Tuesday night at 9.00pm CET in the fourth matchday of UEFA Champions League group B.

The two-tone shirt oozes Barça DNA and is inspired by the city where the club is based, and will be on the players’ backs as they look to make it four wins out of four in the so-called ‘group of death’ in this year’s tournament. A win on Tuesday night would mathematically clinch Barça a berth in the round of 16.

The third kit was officially announced back in September, and features a dynamic sash design inspired by one of the Catalan city’s most famous streets, the Avinguda Diagonal, cutting an angular swathe from the left shoulder to right hem. With a pattern based on an aerial view of Barcelona’s famous Eixample district and its blocks, the third strip gives an extra special connection back to the city’s landscape.
