Netherlands coach Sarina Wiegman visits training session

The Barça women’s team had a very special visitor to their Thursday training session. None other than Dutch national manager Sarina Wiegman came by the Ciutat Esportiva to see the team prepare for the derby with Espanyol this weekend.

Named FIFA coach of the year 2017 for guiding Holland to the European title, she was here to see Lieke Martens and the currently injured Stefanie Van der Gragt.

In October and November, her team will be playing off against Denmark, Belgium and Switzerland for a place at next summer’s World Cup in France, so she naturally wanted to track the progress of two of her key assets.
