Malcom: 'It's an honour to play for the national team'

Barça’s No.14 was recently called into the Brazilian team, recognition that he called ‘a dream’

Brazilian coach Tite announced the squad list last Friday for the upcoming friendly matches against Saudi Arabia (October 12) and Argentina (October 16). Coutinho and Arthur will be joined by Malcom, the first time that Barca’s No.14 has been called up to the senior team.

Currently out with a sprain in the external lateral ligament of the right ankle, Malcom told Barça TV that "for any Brazilian player it's a dream to play for the national team, to represent your country is an honour.”

In addition, he said: “I’m very happy, I didn’t expect it now but it's very gratifying and I hope to be able to give a lot of joy to the Brazilian fans. I also want to thank my family and all those who have supported me, and to Barça for opening the doors.”
