Sergi Samper medical report

The midfielder has a sprain to the internal lateral ligament of his left ankle. His recovery will dictate his availability for upcoming training sessions

First team player Sergi Samper has been diagnosed with a sprain to the internal lateral ligament of his left ankle, with his recovery from the injury dictating how much of a part he will play in the next few training sessions.

The midfielder undertook a full preseason with Barça, only missing the U.S. Tour through problems with his left knee. He stayed behind in Barcelona to undertake a specific training plan.

Samper has made a total of 12 appearances with the first team, and has spent the past two seasons on loan at Granada and Las Palmas, respectively.
